Music time :)

It has been too long......at least 5 years....since I last played the electric keyboard aka synthesizer ;P
I never realize how much I liked playing it :)
I admit..I am not skilled.....
But that doesn't stop me from enjoying myself :P

People should understand..I didn't just pick up my keyboard the other day and start playing......NO
In fact, I played it only after I enrolled myself in a music class
(Hey, I had confidence issues.... :p
I was apprehensive and I wasn't ready for a disappointment at the very beginning....)
Anyhow, this is my keyboard-
CASIO SA-21
I know....it isn't impressive AT ALL.....
The thing is...I like to start small ;)
One day I hope to "graduate" to something bigger...like this one...
CASIO CZ5000

I hope I don't take too long..... ;)

Happy Hanami everyone :)

Question- What is Hanami?
You would have guessed by now that it is something Japanese
Hanami is the traditional custom of enjoying the beauty of flowers ("flowers" almost always refers to cherry blossoms i.e. sakura blossoms or ume blossoms)
Just like the monsoon forecast for the South-east Asian countries, there exists a "blossom forecast" announced by the weather bureau.
The festival extends from early January to mid-May throughout the country lasting one or two weeks in any particular region.
The aim of the festival is very simple...to enjoy Natures' splendor :)
Festivities include everything from lakeside family picnicking to official business meets
(basically the festival is an opportunity to improve all family and workplace relations)
The festival usually coincides with the beginning of the new scholastic and fiscal years and so welcoming parties are quite a common feature.
The celebrations usually last into the late hours of the night and is referred to as yozakura. Temporary paper lanterns are lit in the gardens to provide lighting and enhance the festive atmosphere.

So go pack your bags folks and do it quick...the season's about to end and I bet the blossoms are calling.. ;)

My style of "Learning" :P

I call myself "different", "unique" perhaps, but my friends insist that I change my profile from "slightly eccentric" to "full time mad-cap" :P
I guess it is just the way I look at things that makes me so different from them :)
One way that I an different from them is the way I learn or in other words from who or what I chose to learn.
This is the first thing that comes to mind when I, or a matter of fact, anyone talks or thinks about learning. Kind of expected and boring isn't it ;p. So one day I decided that this was just too boring. So I thought, why not learn from everything. Books can only discuss a few things but Life teaches everything. So for the past few years I have started learning from everything and everyone, literally :P From famous personalities to close friends, from elders to contemporaries to juniors, from nature even from some sources that don't usually come to mind and even some sources that gave me the tag of being "eccentric".
For example :
This guy taught me a few important things.
Admit it, nobody likes beggars. They are ignored and looked down upon.
So I got thinking. What do they know? What can they teach me?
To cut a long story short,
I thought about it....
and thought about it....
and thought about it some more.........
Finally I understood.(Sorry, I won't be sharing it just yet :P Come on! You people are sharp enough to figure it out :) I don't want to affect your personal opinion. So, after you tell me your opinion, I will share mine :p )
It is because of things like this that I am dubbed eccentric.I am getting used to it now but the worst part is that I am actually starting to enjoy it ;P

Please comment on this so that I can lift my goblet tonight and dedicate a toast to my eccentricity :0 :P

Dreamz.............

"To help others without expecting anything back in return....
To be true to myself and to the people around me....
To just be ME without worrying about what others think."
This is my dream :)

Pretty ambitious, isn't it? ;)
All of us have our own little fantasies. It is just our decision to follow our dream that can make a world of difference and make a difference in the world :) The feeling of being untouched by sarcasm, cynicism and criticism when following one's dream, is a feeling that cannot be described, it has to be experienced.Try it out sometime.Go for that piano class you always wanted to,attend that workshop, try out for that team......Trust me, it can be quite refreshing:)

Natural Teamwork

This is nature at Her best
Hats off to the one who took this picture:)
This picture highlights one very important talent....the talent of TEAMWORK and COOPERATION.
We were born into a fast world, where one second can make the difference between success and failure...
But in our everyday rat race we forget to acknowledge that we aren't the only ones. There are others also, tangled in the same web and instead of trying to outshine each other, if we could work together all of us would shine.Just like the sun and the flowers.Standing alone, they appear pretty, but combine them,as in this picture, and behold! We are left speechless by their absolute beauty.I am not trying to give a sermon.I too compete with others, actually more viciously than recommended :P.But I acknowledge that this way of life hasn't given me or the people I care about, much happiness :( So now I am trying to work together and I believe that all of us will succeed.Besides, it's fun to be with others with the the same viewpoints. It gives a feeling of belonging and helps you toss your loneliness right out the window;P

Just the beginning....

I like to observe nature
Most modern day structures usually disturb nature's beauty
But this is a picture where nature is embossed by human architecture
Hope you all like it :)
PS: I don't know from where this picture came from but I do know that I like it ;)
